National News – As Nigeria prepares for the 2027 general elections, support groups nationwide have endorsed Dr. Johnson Emmanuel Chukwuka, former Action Alliance vice-presidential candidate and current Action Democratic Party (ADP) stakeholder, for the presidency.
Leaders of the Patriots Movement, New Direction for Nigeria Movement, and Voters Engagement for Coalition of Six Geopolitical Zones cited Dr. Chukwuka’s leadership experience, community service, and commitment to national development as reasons for their support.
Dr. Chukwuka, a Russian-trained neurosurgeon, has championed youth empowerment, educational access, and economic growth initiatives across Nigeria.
Sani Darma, Director General of the Patriots Movement, stated the group’s six million members are backing Chukwuka due to his integrity, inclusive policies, and ability to unite Nigerians across ethnic and religious lines.
Comrade Mark Adebayo, National Convener of New Direction for Nigeria Movement, praised his visionary approach, emphasizing the need for deliberate political education to elect leaders capable of addressing Nigeria’s complex challenges.
Abdulmutalib Gambo Dauda, National Coordinator of the Voters Engagement for Coalition of Six Geopolitical Zones, highlighted Chukwuka’s dedication to social development and economic empowerment nationwide.
During his 2027 presidential bid announcement, Dr. Chukwuka pledged to tackle insecurity, create employment opportunities, enhance healthcare, and improve infrastructure, leveraging his experience in global politics and previous initiatives, including facilitating Russian investment in the Ajaokuta steel project and Nigeria’s railway sector.
Supporters like Mrs. Juliet Isakwa noted his integrity, transparency, and development-focused vision, calling on ADP to nominate him as the party’s presidential candidate.
The ADP has also launched nationwide online membership registration, providing a transparent and inclusive platform for Nigerians to join and shape the party’s direction.
Engr. Yabagi Yusuf Sani, ADP National Chairman, described the initiative as a national awakening, emphasizing citizen participation in rebuilding the nation through inclusive economic policies, security frameworks, and accountable governance.
