National News – A prominent All Progressives Congress (APC) leader in Osun State, Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, has urged the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to stop attributing its internal conflicts to President Bola Tinubu.

Oyintiloye emphasized that the ADC leadership must face its party issues responsibly rather than misplacing blame on the Nigerian President.

Oyintiloye, speaking from Osogbo, explained that Tinubu has no role in court decisions affecting the ADC.

He noted that the Federal High Court is handling disputes over the party’s executives following its pre-merger structure.

According to Oyintiloye, “The President is a true democrat and does not need to destabilize any political party to secure re-election in 2027.”

He added that ADC must focus on internal resolution rather than engaging in public blame games.

He also highlighted that the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) refusal to recognize any ADC faction stems from ongoing litigation, not presidential interference.

Oyintiloye urged opposition parties to follow democratic procedures and avoid actions that could later backfire.

“Resorting to blackmail will not save the ADC,” he stated, calling on the party to reform and strategize to maintain political relevance.

Addressing concerns over a potential one-party system in Nigeria, Oyintiloye reaffirmed the existence of 21 registered political parties.

He noted that most of these parties, including ADC, are expected to participate in the 2027 elections.

He warned opposition leaders against spreading misleading narratives and reaffirmed that President Tinubu is on track for a decisive victory in the upcoming elections.

Oyintiloye concluded by stressing political accountability, legal compliance, and strategic planning as the key for opposition parties to regain credibility.

He reiterated that fair competition, rather than smear campaigns, defines true democracy and strengthens Nigeria’s political landscape.
