Former Big Brother Naija stars Teddy A and Bambam have sparked widespread speculation after fans noticed that the celebrity couple no longer follow each other on Instagram.
The social media move has ignited fresh marriage crisis rumours, with many fans questioning the state of the couple’s over five-year union.
Instagram Unfollow Fuels Marriage Rift Speculation
Observant followers first raised concerns after discovering that Teddy A (Tope Adenibuyan) and Bambam (Bamike Adenibuyan) had removed each other from their Instagram following lists. The development has intensified ongoing rumours that their marriage may be facing challenges.
Speculation about trouble in their relationship began in December 2025 when the reality TV stars shared separate Christmas photoshoots, prompting online discussions about a possible rift.
Although neither Teddy A nor Bambam has publicly addressed the unfollowing incident, their social media activity has placed their relationship under renewed scrutiny.
From BBNaija Romance to Celebrity Marriage
The couple met during the 2018 edition of Big Brother Naija (BBNaija), where their romance blossomed in the house. They later got married in a lavish wedding ceremony in Dubai in 2019.
In a 2019 interview with PUNCH Online, Bambam revealed that their love story was unexpected.
“It started as a game. I didn’t even know it would become something serious. It wasn’t part of my plan to fall in love in the house, but I guess everything happened according to fate,” she said.
Over the years, Teddy A and Bambam built a strong public brand around their relationship, frequently sharing family moments with their children and collaborating on projects. They became widely regarded as one of BBNaija’s most admired celebrity couples.
Past Domestic Abuse Allegations Resurface
The renewed rumours are emerging shortly after Teddy A addressed past domestic abuse allegations that once trailed their marriage.
In an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, shared via Instagram, the singer dismissed the claims as false and deeply distressing.
He recounted how he woke up to see his phone flooded with notifications over allegations that he physically abused his pregnant wife.
“I woke up, went downstairs, and my wife was there watching a movie. She was pregnant and laughing. I hadn’t posted anything. I was wondering what was trending and why my phone was blowing up,” he said.
According to Teddy A, the allegations caught them completely off guard.
“She kept asking who could do this to us. Honestly, I didn’t know where it came from.”
He explained that he initially chose to remain silent on the advice of his manager, hoping the controversy would fade. However, he later realised the long-term impact of that decision.
“At the time, I didn’t understand the damage staying silent would do. Even now, when my wife and I post photos or videos, people still comment and ask if I beat her,” he stated.
Reflecting on the ordeal, he added:
“It affected me because people began to see me in a way that wasn’t true.”
Fans React Online
As of the time of this report, neither Teddy A nor Bambam has issued an official statement regarding the Instagram unfollowing.
Meanwhile, fans continue to speculate across social media platforms, with many expressing hope that the development is merely a misunderstanding rather than confirmation of marital troubles.
The situation has once again placed the BBNaija couple’s marriage in the spotlight, highlighting how celebrity relationships remain subject to intense public scrutiny in the age of social media.
