National News – Gospel singer and Nollywood soundtrack legend, Onos Brisibi, has passed away at the age of 55. She died on March 23, 2026, after battling a prolonged illness, leaving behind a legacy in both gospel music and Nigerian cinema soundtracks.
Brisibi’s soulful voice graced films like Domitilla and Blood Money, earning her recognition across Nigeria and beyond.
Born on November 20, 1970, to Apostle Ambrose Oproze Brisibi (late) and Deaconess Mary Koko Brisibi in Aladja, Udu, Delta State, Onos Brisibi was a devout Christian and gifted vocalist.
Her death was confirmed in a heartfelt Instagram tribute by veteran Nollywood actor Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD), who described her as “love in human form” and praised her ministry through music.
RMD recalled their childhood memories and her playful personality, highlighting the joy she spread to family, friends, and fans.
Brisibi leaves behind her daughter, Sarah Brisibi, her mother, siblings, extended family, and a close-knit church community at LoveWorld Ministries.
She was renowned for her ability to uplift hearts with her music, blending spirituality with entertainment in a way that resonated across generations.
Her contributions to Nollywood soundtracks made her voice an enduring part of Nigerian film culture.
