The Senator representing Kebbi Central, Adamu Aliero, has reassured his supporters of his continued commitment to the All Progressives Congress (APC), following his absence at the party’s recent Kebbi state congress.
Political observers noted heightened attention during the congress, with three serving senators absent, sparking rumours of possible internal fractures.
Addressing these speculations during a Ramadan palliatives distribution in Birnin Kebbi, Aliero’s Senior Legislative Aide, Dr. Faruku Udulu, emphasized that these claims were unfounded.
“Senator Adamu Aliero remains a loyal and committed member of the APC. Supporters need not panic,” Udulu stated.
He highlighted that internal party issues are being resolved through proper consultation and reconciliation mechanisms, ensuring Aliero is aligned with party leadership at both state and national levels.
Udulu further recalled that Aliero’s move to the APC was strongly influenced by his longstanding relationship with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, dating back to their days as governors.
“The senator is working in full synergy with President Tinubu and Kebbi State Governor Nasir Idris, particularly in support of their second-term ambitions,” he added.
In tandem with reaffirming his political position, Aliero launched a large-scale Ramadan intervention program, distributing over 12,000 bags of rice, donating 10 tractors to local farmers, and providing mini buses to enhance community transportation.
Udulu explained that these initiatives aim to alleviate economic strains for families during the holy month and promote inclusive support for women, persons with disabilities, and grassroots party members.
The senator’s actions appear designed to consolidate support within Kebbi APC, ensuring his loyalty to the party remains visible and reinforcing his role in ongoing post-congress political alignments.
