German champions Bayern Munich have reportedly revived their interest in Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen, with head coach Vincent Kompany viewing him as a possible successor to Harry Kane.

Despite Kane’s prolific record of 130 goals in 133 matches for Bayern, ongoing contract negotiations and external interest from clubs like Barcelona have prompted the club to explore alternatives.

Osimhen, who joined Galatasaray last summer for a Turkish record €75 million following a loan spell, has maintained impressive form.

In his first season in Turkey, he scored 37 goals in 41 appearances.

This season, the former Napoli striker has already netted 10 goals in the Süper Lig and seven goals in eight UEFA Champions League games, including a decisive strike that sent Galatasaray to the round of 16.

Bayern’s management is carefully planning for Kane’s eventual departure, and Kompany admires Osimhen’s explosive beginnings in Belgium with Charleroi.

However, Galatasaray remains determined to retain their star forward, whose current contract runs until June 2029, and has placed his valuation at around €150 million.

Wage demands may also pose a challenge for potential suitors.

While Osimhen has expressed admiration for Italian giants Juventus, stating he would relish a return to Serie A, he affirmed his commitment to Galatasaray: “I am very happy at the club I am currently part of. I am fully committed here.”

Represented by the KBSport agency, Osimhen continues to attract attention from Europe’s top leagues.

Bayern’s interest signals their ambition to maintain striking power in case Kane’s tenure ends, while Osimhen’s consistent performance in Turkey underscores his readiness for another European challenge.
