National News – The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has officially directed candidates registered for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination to begin printing their examination slips, providing key details needed for participation in the nationwide test.

The announcement was made on Thursday by the examination body, which confirmed that the slip printing portal is now active.

According to JAMB, all registered candidates must visit its official website to download and print their slips ahead of the examination date.

The slip contains critical information, including the candidate’s exam venue, date, and time, which are mandatory for gaining access to the Computer-Based Test centres.

The board clarified that the 2026 UTME will be conducted between Thursday, April 16, and Saturday, April 25, 2026, across accredited CBT centres nationwide.

It stressed that printing the examination slip early will help candidates properly prepare and avoid last-minute confusion or logistical challenges on the day of the exam.

Addressing recent misinformation, JAMB dismissed a widely circulated report claiming that the examination had been postponed.

The board described the notice as fake, misleading, and malicious, urging candidates and the general public to ignore such claims and rely only on official updates.

The examination body also issued a strong warning against fraudsters operating on platforms like WhatsApp who promise to inflate candidates’ scores.

JAMB described such activities as criminal and cautioned that any candidate found engaging in malpractice risks severe penalties, including cancellation of registration or withholding of results.

Providing insight into earlier preparations, the board noted that a mock UTME conducted on March 28 recorded some technical challenges in select centres.

Out of over 224,000 registered candidates, more than 152,000 participated, with over 20 CBT centres subsequently delisted due to technical inadequacies.

JAMB reiterated its commitment to ensuring a transparent and credible examination process, urging candidates to comply with all guidelines and remain vigilant against misinformation.
