The wife of Nigerian media personality Victor Udochukwu Nwaogu, popularly known as Nkubi, has shared a disturbing experience during her pregnancy, claiming a doctor advised her to conceive a child with someone other than her husband.

Speaking in a video shared by Pulse Nigeria on Instagram, she recounted that the comment came after the doctor reviewed her abnormality scan.

Doctor Questions Family History of Dwarfism
She revealed that the doctor asked if there was any history of dwarfism in her family. After she confirmed that her husband has the trait, she alleged that the doctor suggested:

“Why didn’t you go to your brother-in-law or someone else to get pregnant, or even consider a sperm donor?”

She described the encounter as shocking and unfair, saying it highlighted the lack of equal treatment in medical care.

“Wow. Yes, they’re not giving equal rights in this country at all,” she said.

Traumatic Postnatal Care Experience

The media personality’s wife also shared a troubling postnatal experience. She alleged that a nurse described her child’s condition as spiritual and tried to introduce her to a pastor for prayers.

“That nurse traumatised me throughout my stay after birth. The woman told me that this is spiritual and offered a pastor who could pray for my child,” she said.

Nkubi Responds: Dwarfism is Not a Religious Matter

Reacting to the claims, Nkubi reminded the public that anyone can have a child with dwarfism and warned against mocking people with the condition.

“It has nothing to do with religion. Anybody can give birth to a little person. You might have all the fun you want today by saying, ‘Look at them, they are short,’ but it could hit you tomorrow,” he said.
