National News – Ibadan-based cleric, Kayode Amusan, popularly known as Agbala Gabriel, is facing serious accusations of sexual misconduct and mismanagement of charitable donations.
Once celebrated online for his outreach to the sick and vulnerable, videos of him praying for families and requesting financial support had earned widespread admiration.
However, recent controversies have cast a shadow over his reputation.
Social media erupted after allegations surfaced involving a patient, Morenikeji, who suffered from a spinal condition.
Nollywood actress Foluke Daramola revealed that she contributed to the patient’s surgery but withdrew support when the family sought help from the cleric, alleging that Gabriel failed to provide adequate care or promised accommodations.
The patient’s daughter confirmed she had to take her mother away due to concerns over the pastor’s handling of the case.
Meanwhile, blogger Iyalaje Courtroom accused the pastor of sexual relationships with female church members and mismanagement of funds.
One notable allegation involves Bolu, a former backup singer, who reportedly bore twins fathered by the cleric.
Charity advocate Princess Adeyinka corroborated the claim, stating that Gabriel initially denied responsibility but later provided housing for Bolu and her twins.
The allegations have sparked heated debates online, with some defending his years of charitable work while others demand accountability.
Gabriel, in response, denied all accusations, comparing his situation to other renowned ministers like Pastor Enoch Adeboye, emphasizing that social media often spreads false claims.
The situation continues to develop, highlighting the growing scrutiny of public figures in Nigeria’s religious and charitable sectors.
