National News – The leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ondo State has dismissed rumours suggesting that its state executive committee has been dissolved, insisting the party remains a strong opposition force determined to hold the ruling government accountable.

The state chairman, Dupe Aisida, clarified that the state leadership structure of the party is still intact and functioning despite circulating claims that it had been replaced with a caretaker committee.

According to him, the report allegedly attributed to Umaru Bature did not follow official communication procedures recognised by the party.

Aisida stressed that the purported dissolution was misleading and lacked legitimacy because the state leadership did not receive any formal notification through the constitutionally recognised channels of the party.

He described the claims as an attempt to create unnecessary confusion among members and the public.

He further acknowledged that the party has faced internal challenges in recent times but maintained that the PDP remains resilient and capable of overcoming its difficulties.

According to him, recent electoral outcomes across the country indicate that the party still commands significant support and remains a viable political force.

The chairman reassured party supporters that the leadership in Ondo State remains united and committed to strengthening the party’s presence.

He urged members across the state’s 18 local government areas to stay calm, focused, and loyal to the party while disregarding rumours intended to destabilise its structure.

Aisida also called on members of the public and the media to avoid spreading interpretations that could undermine peace within the party.

He reiterated that the Ondo PDP executive committee remains fully operational and dedicated to building a credible political alternative for residents of the state.

Despite internal disputes and political tensions in the wider national structure of the party, the Ondo leadership expressed confidence that the PDP would continue rebuilding and repositioning itself ahead of future elections.
