Joshua Breaking Jake Paul’s Jaw Sends a Powerful Lesson to the YouTuber-Turned-Boxer

Former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski believes Jake Paul learned a hard lesson after suffering a brutal knockout at the hands of Anthony Joshua, which left Paul with a broken jaw in two places.

The high-profile bout between Jake Paul vs Anthony Joshua ended in dramatic fashion, with Paul losing every round on the scorecards. The fight reached a turning point in the fifth round, where Joshua scored multiple knockdowns, leaving Paul trailing 10-7.

The decisive moment came in the sixth round when Joshua landed a devastating right hand, resulting in a knockout loss for Jake Paul and a jaw broken in two places.

Speaking to MMA Fighting, Arlovski commented on Paul’s performance and the severity of the injury:

“I didn’t like it, but Jake Paul had great condition for six rounds. Obviously, he ran around; it doesn’t matter. He got his broken jaw. It’s not good. A broken jaw in two places will take time to heal. We’ll see. Hopefully, maybe yes, maybe not, he’s going to get back into boxing. But for now, he might understand people who spend 10, 15, 20 years in boxing and MMA. It’s not just a month in a gym—you spend your life there.”

Arlovski also criticized Paul’s approach, suggesting the social media star had shown disrespect to professional athletes:

“To me, it was kind of disrespectful to professional athletes, to boxers and MMA fighters. He says, ‘oh we spent the last year in the boxing gym non-stop!’ My guy, I spent the last 25 years non-stop in the gym, sometimes two or three times a day. You think you’re superhuman and can take a shortcut? It’s not cool.”

Jake Paul’s boxing career began with an 11-1 record, built largely on victories over MMA fighters and retired or past-their-prime boxers, including Mike Tyson and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

With the Jake Paul broken jaw incident, the fight against Anthony Joshua may serve as a turning point, highlighting the risks of underestimating professional boxers and the intensity required to compete at the elite level.
