US Military Kills Two in Latest Pacific Vessel Strike

The United States military has confirmed that it killed two individuals in its latest attack on a vessel in the Eastern Pacific Ocean.

US Southern Command (SOUTHCOM), responsible for overseeing US military operations in Latin America, stated on Thursday that “two narco-terrorists were killed during this action.” However, SOUTHCOM did not provide evidence linking the vessel or the two victims to drug trafficking.

This strike adds to a growing pattern of US military strikes on vessels in the Pacific and Caribbean, which have resulted in at least 126 deaths across 34 attacks since September 2025.

These operations have drawn criticism, with many experts labeling them illegal under international law.

According to records compiled by watchdog group Airwars, the latest attack appears to be the first US military strike under the Trump administration in 2026.
