National News – Habeeb ‘Portable’ Badmus and Carter Efe engaged in a tense pre-fight showdown in Ikeja, Lagos on Tuesday, signaling high anticipation for their May 1 celebrity boxing bout.

The two social media stars nearly clashed physically during the face-off, with bouncers stepping in to separate them as over 50 fans watched.

Portable, displaying spiritual charms for confidence, confidently told supporters, “I will beat him, I will finish him,” while Carter Efe, dressed in white with a Bible and anointing oil, matched the aggression, promising, “I will beat you in the ring.”

The confrontation highlighted contrasting approaches to spiritual preparation, capturing the excitement of fans ahead of the highly promoted event.

The bout, officially sanctioned by the Nigeria Boxing Board of Control, will headline the Chaos in the Ring 4 card at the Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The event is promoted by Balmoral Group Promotions in collaboration with former world heavyweight champion Amir Khan’s AK Promotions and will stream live globally on DAZN.

Other professional bouts feature Ghanaian boxer Elvis Ahorgah, British southpaw Michael McKinson, and teenage sensation Raheem Animashaun, among others.
