National News – The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, and the Deputy Speaker, Benjamin Kalu, have congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as he marks his 74th birthday on March 29, 2026.

The leaders praised Tinubu’s leadership, democratic credentials, and ongoing reforms under the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda, describing his tenure as impactful for Nigeria’s development.

Tinubu, who was born on March 29, 1952, received the tributes from Abbas and Kalu in separate messages released on Saturday.

The congratulatory messages highlighted the President’s long-standing role in Nigeria’s democratic movement and his current leadership as head of government.

In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Musa Krishi, Abbas described Tinubu as a seasoned public administrator, pro-democracy advocate, and freedom fighter whose political influence has shaped Nigeria’s democratic journey.

According to the Speaker, the President has built a network of progressive leaders committed to strengthening governance and promoting national unity.

Abbas also pointed to ongoing reforms under the Renewed Hope Agenda, saying the administration has begun repositioning the country’s economic and governance structures.

He noted improvements in revenue generation for states, enhanced transparency in government operations, and renewed focus on infrastructure development and security coordination across Nigeria.

Speaking earlier at the national convention of the All Progressives Congress, Abbas said the Tinubu administration has taken bold decisions aimed at resetting Nigeria’s economic foundation.

He explained that the reforms are designed to improve public finance, strengthen institutions, and support long-term national growth.

Similarly, Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu commended Tinubu’s leadership style, describing it as visionary and transformative.

In a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Levinus Nwabughiogwu, Kalu said the President’s economic policies and governance reforms are positioning Nigeria for future progress.

Kalu further acknowledged Tinubu’s dedication to public service and expressed confidence that the administration’s policies will positively impact citizens and future generations.

He also wished the President continued good health, wisdom, and strength as he continues to steer the affairs of the nation.
