National News – The leadership of the Niger Delta Ex-Agitators Forum has accused Theophilus Alaye of threatening peace in the region over petty issues of pipeline surveillance contract.
Convener of the forum, Self-styled General Emma Satu, in a strongly worded statement, described Alaye as “the number one enemy of the Ijaw nation and the Niger Delta,” accusing him of fueling division at a time when unity among Ijaw leaders and youths is critical.
According to Satu, rather than promoting reconciliation within the Ijaw Youth Council, Alaye has aligned with other selfish individuals, mounting pressure on the Federal Government and threatening that 2027 elections will not hold if the pipeline surveillance contract currently handled by prominent Niger Delta figures, Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, and Matthew Tonlagha, is not split.
He wondered why the agitations are always about Tompolo who has sacrificed so much for the peace of the region.
“Why is everybody talking about Tantita Security and Tompolo? Why is nobody talking about Pipeline Infrastructure Nigeria Limited (PINL) owned by an Itsekiri man?”
“I now understand why the Ijaw nation rejected him (Alaye) and embraced Jonathan Lokpobiri as the authentic President of the Ijaw Youth Council. Alaye has shown to the whole world that he is not fit to even lead an IYC clan.”
“We have more meaningful and better things to agitate for in the Niger Delta, not the surveillance contract given to your brother — dragging him day and night that it should be split.”
“What about the oil blocs and oil wells owned and managed by people who are not from the Niger Delta? Why not agitate for those ones? Why is it always about Tompolo? This has gone beyond envy and hatred,” he said.
The ex-agitator urged Alaye and his associates to pursue legitimate opportunities rather than “pulling others down.”

Satu noted that Alaye’s threat of unrest if the surveillance contract was not split could destabilize the fragile peace achieved in the Niger Delta after years of militancy.
He therefore called on the Defence Headquarters and other security agencies to place Alaye on a watchlist, citing what he described as “dangerous utterances and movements.”
Satu said, “If anything relating to violence or terror happens anywhere in the Niger Delta, the Defence Headquarters should hold Alaye responsible. He is always mobilizing misguided youths; going from one office to another and fighting against the peace and progress of eminent Ijaw people who are doing well in their endeavours.”
“Before now, he was all over the place dragging Heineken Lokpobiri and today, our revered leader, High Chief Government Ekpemupolo alias Tompolo is the person Alaye is dragging and abusing day and night.”
“But I must thank Tompolo for his wisdom and high level of tolerance since these misguided elements started this madness, envy, and provocative moves against him.”
“Why don’t they register with CAC and bid for jobs? They should stop fighting against the success of other people, especially Tompolo. The peace we enjoy today, it is because of Tompolo.”
“Tompolo is not a greedy person. He split the job across every quarter so that nobody is left out. Alaye should work hard and try to make things happen for himself, not by trying to pull others down.”
“He is saying the job should be decentralized. Isn’t that what Tompolo has done? From day one, he decentralized the contract by subletting to subcontractors across every state and local government area under their jurisdiction.”
“So what is Alaye even saying? The people working under Tantita Security Services in Bayelsa, Delta, Rivers, Imo, and other states — are they not natives? Are they foreigners? Is Joshua MacIver not from Bayelsa? Is Kojo Sam not from Bayelsa? In Delta State, it is the same thing. In Edo, it is the natives of the land that are working there. In Ondo and Imo, it is the same thing.”
“Is he claiming these people are not from the Niger Delta region? What is decentralization, if not reaching out to everybody? Tompolo has ensured that every state has its stake. Every stakeholder has their stake.”
“The funny thing is that these enemies of the Niger Delta fighting against Tompolo are all members of the APC, and they are happy disrupting the government of President Bola Tinubu. The Federal Government should take note of this and put Theophilus Alaye, Boyloaf, Shoot-at-Sight and their cronies on a watchlist.”
“Where were they when Tompolo and Matthew Tonlagha were bidding for this job? They should think of better things to do with their lives. This Judas Iscariot lifestyle will do them no good.”
