Ogun Inducts New Officers to Strengthen Public Service

National News – The Ogun State Government has inducted a fresh batch of civil service officers to boost workforce capacity and improve service delivery across ministries, departments, and agencies.

The induction, held at the Obas Complex in Oke Mosan, Abeokuta, highlights the state’s commitment to cultivating a skilled and efficient public service.

Head of Service, Kehinde Onasanya, explained that recruiting officers at the basic grade levels demonstrates Governor Dapo Abiodun’s dedication to strengthening governance through an effective workforce.

He emphasized that a competent civil service remains crucial for driving the administration’s developmental goals and maintaining Ogun’s reputation for efficiency and professionalism.

Onasanya detailed that the induction program is designed to integrate recruits into the public service, provide essential knowledge, and prepare them for effective performance.

Permanent Secretary of the Bureau of Establishments and Training, Lydia Fajounbo, highlighted the importance of the orientation program in ensuring recruits understand civil service expectations.

She noted that experienced resource persons facilitated key sessions, equipping participants with the skills needed for career growth.

Goodwill messages from Permanent Secretaries of Public Service Reforms, State Pensions, and Local Government Pensions encouraged recruits to leverage the training, cultivate teamwork, and uphold transparency in their duties.

The program marks the start of their public service journey and reinforces the government’s aim to build a competent, ethically grounded workforce.

This induction aligns with ongoing reforms and demonstrates Ogun State’s focus on efficiency, accountability, and strategic governance to meet increasing administrative demands.
