American rapper and singer has revealed that her demanding music career was the major reason she stopped attending church services regularly.
Speaking during a recent episode of The Bryce Crawford Podcast, the award-winning artiste said her rise to fame made it difficult to maintain a consistent church-going routine due to her weekend work schedule.
According to Minaj, most of her performances and professional engagements take place on Fridays and Saturdays, leaving her exhausted and unable to attend church services on Sundays.
“Once my career started taking off, I stopped going to church. I was working on Friday nights and Saturday nights, so the last thing I could do was wake up on Sunday mornings to go to church,” she said.
Despite no longer attending church regularly, the rapper maintained that she still has a strong relationship with God and continues to nurture her faith.
Minaj acknowledged that she sometimes struggles with consistency in her spiritual life but remains committed to personal growth and strengthening her connection with God.
She added that her faith has continued to deepen over the years as she pursues spiritual development alongside her successful music career.
The rapper’s comments come amid ongoing discussions about the challenges entertainers face in balancing demanding careers with personal and religious commitments.
