National News – The Nigeria Boxing Federation (NBF) has officially sanctioned the much-anticipated Chaos in the Ring 4 boxing event scheduled to hold today at Balmoral Hall, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The event, promoted by Balmoral Group Promotions in partnership with Amir Khan Promotions, brings together professional boxing contests and celebrity entertainment bouts.

The approval confirms the federation’s support for the event, which is expected to attract boxing lovers and entertainment fans from across Nigeria.

The boxing card features nine thrilling bouts, with the headline clash between Ezra Arenyeka and Godday Appah for the WBO cruiserweight Peace Fight.

The bout is symbolic as it represents unity between the Itsekiri and Ijaw communities of the Niger Delta, with the winner expected to be named a Peace Ambassador.

Organisers say the fight aims to promote peace, sportsmanship and regional harmony through professional boxing.

A major highlight of the event is the celebrity showdown between Nigerian street-hop singer Habeeb ‘Portable’ Badmus and comedian Carter Efe.

Their heated exchanges during pre-fight face-offs have sparked widespread reactions on social media, building strong anticipation for the contest.

Fans are eager to witness how the entertainment personalities perform inside the ring.

Other fights on the card include Michael McKinson vs Mohammad Sahnoun, Elvis Ahorgah vs Joe Laws, and Raheem Animashaun vs Emmanuel Amos.

Additional matchups involving Basit Adebayo, Samuel Antwi, Rasheed Adeyemo, and Seun Wahab further strengthen the event’s lineup.

Speaking ahead of the event, NBF Vice-President Omonlei Imadu praised the promoters for investing in Nigerian boxing and acknowledged the support of the National Sports Commission in advancing reforms within the sport.

The event will be broadcast live on DAZN, allowing global audiences to watch Nigeria’s growing boxing scene.

The sanctioned event is expected to boost professional boxing in Nigeria by showcasing emerging talents, attracting international attention, and promoting sports development through quality competition.
