National News – President Bola Tinubu will depart Abuja on Saturday for official visits to France, Kenya and Rwanda as part of a strategic diplomatic mission aimed at strengthening Nigeria’s international partnerships and promoting economic growth.

The trip comes as Nigeria intensifies efforts to attract foreign investment and deepen bilateral cooperation with key global and African partners.

The Presidency announced the development on Friday through a statement issued by Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.

According to the statement, the President’s first stop will be France before heading to Nairobi, Kenya, where he is scheduled to participate in the Africa-France Summit from May 11 to May 12.

The summit, co-chaired by French President Emmanuel Macron and Kenyan President William Ruto, will focus on major development issues including energy transition, digital transformation and climate action.

Tinubu is expected to deliver Nigeria’s position on these critical issues while reaffirming the country’s commitment to strategic cooperation with France and African nations.

Following the Nairobi engagement, the President will proceed to Kigali, Rwanda, to attend the Africa CEO Forum slated for May 14 to May 15.

The event, organised in partnership with the International Finance Corporation, will gather top business leaders, policymakers and investors from across Africa and beyond to discuss economic reforms, private sector growth and investment opportunities.

The President is expected to use both summits to highlight his administration’s economic reforms and investment-driven policies.

He will also hold high-level meetings with African and global business executives to showcase Nigeria as a prime investment destination.

Some ministers and senior government aides will accompany Tinubu on the diplomatic tour. He is expected to return to Nigeria after concluding his engagements in Rwanda.

The visit underscores the administration’s strategy of leveraging international diplomacy to strengthen economic ties, boost investor confidence and position Nigeria for long-term development through strategic partnerships.
