National News – Paris Saint-Germain have intensified their chase for Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen as the French champions prepare a €150m bid for the 27-year-old forward from Galatasaray in a major summer transfer push.

The move is driven by PSG manager Luis Enrique’s need for a physical, direct number nine, especially amid uncertainty over Gonçalo Ramos’ long-term role at the club.

Galatasaray insist Osimhen will only be allowed to leave Istanbul if any club meets their €150m valuation in full, with the striker still under contract until 2029 giving the Turkish side strong negotiating power.

Other top European clubs including Real Madrid, Barcelona, Arsenal, Liverpool and Juventus are also monitoring the Nigerian forward’s situation closely ahead of the summer transfer window.

Osimhen has been in outstanding form for Galatasaray, scoring 57 goals and providing 16 assists in 73 appearances, making him one of Europe’s most in-demand strikers.

PSG view Osimhen as the ideal solution to their attacking needs, believing his pace, aerial strength and high pressing ability would transform their frontline in Ligue 1 and European competitions.

Despite transfer speculation, Osimhen has expressed happiness at Galatasaray, describing the Istanbul club as feeling like home and praising their passionate supporters.

Agent Mithat Halis has also argued that Osimhen’s versatility makes him suitable for clubs like Real Madrid, noting his ability to play as a centre-forward or second striker while also contributing defensively.

The transfer saga, unfolding in May 2026, involves PSG in Paris and Galatasaray in Istanbul, with Victor Osimhen at the centre of negotiations as clubs across Europe watch closely.

The key question is whether any suitor will meet the €150m price tag demanded for the Nigerian striker.

PSG’s motivation is to strengthen their attack, while Galatasaray aim to retain their star asset.

The process hinges on direct negotiations and whether financial demands are satisfied in full.

Osimhen’s future remains uncertain as elite clubs continue to track his progress ahead of a potentially record-breaking summer transfer decision.
