National News – Hajj 2026 Nigerian pilgrims have commenced movement from Madinah to Makkah after completing a four-day stay in the Prophet’s city, according to updates from the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).

The movement, which began on Thursday, marks a key transition in the pilgrimage journey as thousands of Nigerian pilgrims proceed to perform the remaining rites in Makkah, Saudi Arabia.

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria confirmed that the transfer operation involves four designated airlines: Max Air, Umza Aviation Services, Air Peace, and Flynas, which have collectively airlifted about 9,756 pilgrims to Saudi Arabia for the 2026 Hajj exercise.

Officials stated that pilgrims were advised to coordinate with their state Pilgrims Welfare Boards to ensure orderly movement and smooth booking for visits to the Rawdah in Madinah before departure.

Pilgrims who wish to visit the Rawdah (the burial chamber of Prophet Muhammad) were reminded that access is subject to congestion control and must be pre-booked through official channels managed by state welfare boards.

NAHCON further emphasized that the four-day stay in Madinah is part of the structured Hajj itinerary designed to prepare pilgrims spiritually before moving to Makkah.

Authorities urged pilgrims to remain patient, orderly, and follow guidance from religious leaders to ensure compliance with Hajj regulations.

NAHCON assured that the Rawdah visit, while spiritually significant, is not a requirement for the validity of Hajj as Allah grants such opportunities based on divine will.

The commission reiterated its commitment to ensuring safe, organized, and efficient transportation of Nigerian pilgrims from Madinah to Makkah during the 2026 Hajj season.

This phase highlights improved coordination between Nigerian authorities and Saudi logistics teams.

Overall, the operation underscores Nigeria’s continued participation in one of the world’s largest religious gatherings, with emphasis on safety, coordination, and spiritual fulfillment.

The movement from Madinah to Makkah signifies the progression into core Hajj rituals, including Tawaf and other rites performed at the Holy Mosque, ensuring pilgrims complete their 2026 Hajj journey successfully as planned smoothly.
