National News – The Olota of Otta in the Awori Kingdom, Oba Adeyemi Obalanlege, has praised President Bola Tinubu for his commitment to national growth and inclusive development across Nigeria.
He said federal projects are now reaching grassroots communities through targeted initiatives driven by the Office of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
He also commended Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun for maintaining peace and attracting development and investment to the state.
On Thursday in Ota, Ogun State, the monarch led the unveiling of the Ota Central Police Divisional Headquarters and a 40-bed Primary Health Centre.
The projects were facilitated by the Federal Government through the SDGs office headed by Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire.
The event brought together community leaders, security officials and health stakeholders to witness the commissioning.
The Olota described the projects as symbols of progress, improved security and better healthcare access for residents of Ottaland and surrounding areas.
He said the police headquarters restores a historical security post that once served the community and nearby districts.
He also noted that the health centre would improve access to affordable and quality medical services for residents.
The monarch further commended the naming of the facility after the late Olota of Ota, Oba Timothy Oloyede Fadina.
He said the honour preserves the late monarch’s legacy of peace, unity and development for future generations.
Also speaking, a representative of the Commissioner of Police, DCP Bolanle Mustapha, praised the collaboration behind the project.
He said the new divisional headquarters would strengthen policing and improve security operations in the Sango-Ota axis.
Overall, the projects reflect efforts to improve security infrastructure and healthcare delivery in Ogun State.
They also highlight the SDGs office’s role in driving grassroots development and supporting inclusive governance in Nigeria.
