National News – The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the 2026 Osun State election, Bola Oyebamiji, has expressed confidence that voters will elect him as governor during the August 15 poll.

He made the declaration during a meeting with leaders and members of the Association of Mobile Telecommunication Engineers of Nigeria in Osogbo, promising to return the state to what he described as the progressive path.

Represented by the Chairman of Civic Engagement of the APC Campaign Council, Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, Oyebamiji said the people of Osun would make history by supporting his candidacy.

According to him, governance requires seriousness, accountability, and people-focused policies that improve living conditions across the state.

The APC candidate explained that his proposed administration would focus on economic security, healthcare delivery, quality education, infrastructure development, and social protection programmes.

He added that his “PROSPER” agenda would expand social safety nets, reduce poverty, and create opportunities for residents through support for small businesses and large-scale enterprises.

Oyebamiji also pledged support for telecommunications engineers, noting that the sector remains important for business growth, technology expansion, and economic development in Osun State.

He urged residents to ignore negative campaigns against him, insisting that his commitment to public service is rooted in improving lives and strengthening communities.

The association’s president, Abdulrasaki Ejalonibu, assured the APC candidate of members’ support during the election.

He recalled the support given to the association by the administration of former Osun governor and current Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, while urging Oyebamiji to fulfil his promises if elected.

Oyebamiji will contest against incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke in the August 15, 2026 governorship election.
