National News – African footballers delivered standout performances across Europe’s top leagues over the weekend, with Nigerian striker Akor Adams emerging as one of the headline-makers after scoring a crucial late winner for Sevilla FC in Spain.

His stoppage-time goal secured a 2-1 victory over Espanyol and boosted Sevilla’s fight against relegation in La Liga.

In England, Egyptian forward Omar Marmoush scored in Manchester City’s commanding 3-0 win over Brentford in the Premier League.

The striker linked up brilliantly with Erling Haaland before finishing clinically past goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher.

The victory kept City’s title hopes alive as they continue chasing league leaders Arsenal.

Gambian winger Yankuba Minteh also impressed for Brighton & Hove Albion, scoring in a dominant 3-0 win over Wolves.

Senegal international Ismaila Sarr netted his 20th goal of the season for Crystal Palace in a 2-2 draw against Everton, while Guinea-Bissau striker Beto added another goal for Everton during the encounter.
