National News – Father of former Big Brother Naija All Stars winner, Ilebaye Odiniya, Emmanuel Odiniya, has explained the circumstances that allegedly led to a violent family confrontation involving his daughter at their Abuja residence.

The incident, which surfaced online through a viral livestream and voice note, sparked widespread reactions after reports emerged that several family members sustained injuries.

Emmanuel claimed the altercation happened after tensions grew between him and the reality TV star following her rise to fame after winning the BBNaija All Stars edition.

According to him, he supported her journey during the competition by mobilising votes and seeking support from influential individuals.

He, however, alleged that their relationship later became strained as communication reportedly broke down within the family.

The father accused Ilebaye of becoming disrespectful and physically aggressive during arguments at home.

He also alleged that disagreements over her lifestyle choices, including cosmetic procedures, contributed to their conflicts.

Emmanuel further claimed he had previously suffered injuries during earlier disputes involving his daughter.

Speaking on the latest confrontation, he alleged that the reality TV personality attacked him first during a heated argument before the situation escalated into violence.

He also expressed disappointment over what he described as neglect during his health struggles, claiming she declined financial assistance for his planned medical treatment abroad despite publicly displaying wealth at social events.

Emmanuel additionally accused his daughter of negatively influencing her younger brother and interfering in family matters.

Despite the allegations, he maintained that he still loves his daughter and hopes for reconciliation within the family.

The Federal Capital Territory Police Command confirmed that those involved in the incident sustained injuries and were receiving medical treatment.

Police authorities also disclosed that investigations into the matter are ongoing while some family members remain under protective custody.
