National News – The Adamawa State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed social media reports alleging changes to its primaries list, insisting that the original results remain intact.

The party said no candidate was replaced or substituted in Abuja, contrary to viral claims circulating online.

Party spokesman Dogo Victor stated that the reports were false and sponsored by individuals attempting to create disunity within the party.

He maintained that the primary elections were conducted freely and fairly in Adamawa, and that the results as collated have not been altered or reviewed in Abuja headquarters.

The disputed claims alleged that House of Representatives members including Dauda Nyampa of Michika/Madagali and James Barka of Gombi/Hong, as well as Hajiya Ramatu Bello linked to Mubi federal constituency, were replaced or dropped after adoption processes.

Some reports also suggested political interference involving figures linked to the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, and alleged intervention by FCT Minister Nyesom Wike to influence ticket arrangements ahead of the 2027 elections.

However, APC leadership emphasized that no such restructuring occurred, warning that misinformation on social media could heighten political tension ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The party urged members and supporters to rely on verified communications rather than unconfirmed online narratives.

Analysts note that the controversy highlights recurring internal disputes within party primaries in Nigeria, particularly in Adamawa State, where competition for 2027 electoral tickets remains intense.

The APC insists its candidate list remains unchanged, and that all decisions followed due process within the party structure in Abuja, reinforcing its position that the reports are politically motivated and unfounded.
