Bukayo Saka Signs Five-Year Arsenal Contract Until 2031 – BBC

Bukayo Saka has signed a new five-year contract with Arsenal FC, committing his future to the club until 2031, according to BBC Sport.

The new deal reportedly makes the England international the highest-paid player at the Emirates, with wages exceeding £300,000 per week.

Saka Becomes Arsenal’s Highest-Paid Player
The 24-year-old winger’s previous contract, signed in 2023, was set to expire in 2027. However, after nearly a year of negotiations and a verbal agreement reached in January, Arsenal have secured their star man for the long term.

The contract extension ensures Saka will spend his peak years with the North London club as they push for domestic and European success.

Major Boost for Mikel Arteta’s Title Charge

The renewal comes as a significant lift for manager Mikel Arteta, whose side are competing on four fronts this season.

Arsenal currently lead the Premier League by four points and are set to face Manchester City in the EFL Cup final in March. The Gunners have also progressed to the knockout stages of the UEFA Champions League and reached the fifth round of the FA Cup.

Saka’s Impact This Season

Saka remains central to Arsenal’s title ambitions. He has scored seven goals in 33 appearances across all competitions this season, continuing to deliver consistent performances in crucial matches.

Arsenal’s Long-Term Squad Strategy

Saka’s new deal follows a series of long-term contract renewals as Arsenal look to secure their core squad. Key players including William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhães, Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly have all committed their futures to the club.

The strategy underlines Arsenal’s ambition to build a stable, competitive squad capable of challenging for major trophies in England and across Europe in the coming years.
