The FCT High Court in Life Camp, Abuja, has adjourned the high-profile assault trial of Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck (Tochukwu Ojogwu) until April 8, 2026. The civil case was filed by fellow musician Kraziecent (Ogbogiri Okey Levi), who claims he was violently attacked by the rapper during a public event in December 2024.
During the hearing, both parties were present in court, represented by Uchenna Ojembe for Kraziecent and Taiwo Akinsulie for Odumodublvck. The trial, however, could not proceed due to ongoing renovations in the courtroom. The lawyers agreed on a convenient date for both sides to continue with the case.
In the lawsuit, Kraziecent alleged that while taking photos and videos at the event, he was assaulted without provocation by Odumodublvck. The attack reportedly caused him emotional distress and resulted in damage to his iPhone 15 Pro Max.
Kraziecent is seeking N2 billion in damages, reimbursement for medical expenses, and a public apology from Odumodublvck. The apology is expected to be published on the rapper’s social media accounts and in two national newspapers, among other remedies.
The case has attracted significant attention in Nigeria’s music industry, highlighting issues of celebrity disputes, accountability, and legal redress. Fans of both artists are closely following developments as the case unfolds.
The court’s adjournment now means that the trial will resume in April 2026, leaving the public awaiting further updates on the alleged assault and the outcome of this high-profile legal battle.
