Iran Missile Strike Targets Netanyahu’s Office and Israeli Air Force Headquarters

Israel's prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu

Iran’s Revolutionary Guards have claimed responsibility for a missile attack targeting the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the headquarters of the Israeli Air Force commander.

The announcement marks a significant escalation in tensions between Iran and Israel.

According to a statement released by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and reported by Iran’s Fars News Agency, the missile strike used advanced Kheibar missiles.

Iranian officials said the attack was aimed directly at key Israeli leadership and military command locations.

The IRGC described Netanyahu’s office as the command center of what it called the “Zionist regime,” adding that the Israeli Air Force headquarters was also a primary target of the missile operation.

Rising Middle East Tensions Following Military Strikes

The claim of responsibility comes amid rapidly escalating hostilities in the Middle East.

Military exchanges between Iran and Israel have intensified following recent strikes that reportedly targeted Iranian military officials and facilities.

Iranian authorities said the missile operation was part of a broader response to attacks attributed to Israel and its allies.

The situation has heightened concerns among international observers about the possibility of a wider regional conflict.

New Acting Defence Minister Appointed in Iran

In a related development, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian appointed Revolutionary Guards General Majid Ebnelreza as the country’s acting defence minister.

The appointment follows the death of Iran’s previous defence minister during a recent wave of air strikes reportedly carried out by the United States and Israel.

Iranian presidential communications deputy Mehdi Tabatabaei confirmed the appointment in a statement posted on social media, noting that Ebnelreza will temporarily lead the country’s defence ministry during the ongoing security crisis.

Global Concerns Over Escalating Iran-Israel Conflict

The missile strike claim has triggered renewed global concern about the escalating confrontation between Iran and Israel.

Analysts warn that continued military actions could destabilize the broader Middle East region and potentially draw additional international powers into the conflict.

As tensions rise, world leaders are closely monitoring developments and urging restraint to prevent further escalation.
