Junior Chamber International (JCI) Nigeria has unveiled the official NATCON 2026 logo ahead of its highly anticipated National Convention, scheduled for October in Ibadan, Oyo State.
Themed “Amplifying 2026: Scaling Impact For A New Nigeria,” the convention highlights the importance of effective youth leadership in shaping societal progress.
Speaking at the unveiling, JCIN National President Akinbode Abitogun emphasized the role of young leaders in driving positive change.
“JCI Nigeria empowers youth between 18 and 40 with leadership skills and encourages initiatives that give back to society.
We have the time, capability, and skills to lead rightly,” Abitogun stated.
The convention also focuses on networking opportunities for young professionals, connecting like-minded individuals across Nigeria and globally.
Ibukunoluwa Otesile, host President of JCI Ibadan Elite, reiterated the significance of prioritizing public interest.
“Let’s do things right, putting the interest of Nigerians first,” she urged.
The convention logo, featuring Ibadan’s heritage and the iconic Cocoa House, symbolizes both pride in local culture and a call to inspire innovation and legacy-building among youth.
Otesile explained that this year’s theme represents JCI’s commitment to amplifying its societal impact and visibility: “We are scaling up structural improvements, community impact, and the visibility of JCI in Nigeria.
These efforts will contribute to the New Nigeria we all aspire to see.”
The event, described as the largest youth gathering in Nigeria, expects over 1,500 participants, including guests from JCI Africa, the Middle East, and other international chapters.
JCI member Adebisi Michael highlighted patriotism as a key trait for effective leadership, noting that dedicated, patriotic leaders can drive meaningful national progress.
Former JCI Ibadan Elite President Goodness Morakinyo emphasized that leadership is cultivated through learning and experience, not merely inherited.
Through targeted programs and mentorship, JCI prepares young Nigerians to take up leadership roles across business, career, and community development sectors.
The NATCON 2026 convention underscores JCI Nigeria’s mission to nurture the next generation of leaders capable of transforming society and shaping a thriving New Nigeria.
