The Beverly Hills mansion of global pop superstar Rihanna was struck by gunfire on Sunday afternoon, prompting a swift response from police in Los Angeles, authorities confirmed.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported, even though the singer was reportedly inside the property when the shooting occurred.
According to officials from the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), officers were dispatched to the upscale Beverly Hills neighborhood around 1:15 pm local time after reports of multiple gunshots near the luxury residence.
Investigators later confirmed that the property belongs to Rihanna, the Barbados-born singer and entrepreneur.
Police said a female suspect in her 30s stopped a vehicle outside the home and fired approximately seven shots toward the property before fleeing the scene.
Authorities later located the suspect’s vehicle roughly eight miles from the mansion, where she was taken into custody without further incident.
Law enforcement officials reported finding assault-rifle shell casings near the scene, indicating the weapon used may have been a high-powered firearm.
The identity of the suspect has not yet been publicly released, and investigators have not disclosed a possible motive behind the attack.
Despite the alarming incident, Rihanna—whose real name is Robyn Fenty—was unharmed.
Police vehicles were seen stationed outside the property as officers secured the area and launched an investigation into the shooting.
The singer recently made headlines for expanding her family with partner A$AP Rocky. The couple welcomed their third child, a daughter, last September. They also share two sons, Riot and RZA.
Their relationship has been closely followed by fans and the media. Earlier in 2025, A$AP Rocky was cleared of allegations that he fired a gun at a former friend after a high-profile court trial.
