Tiwa Savage Launches Music Foundation to Train Emerging Talents in Nigeria

National News – Afrobeats superstar Tiwa Savage has officially launched the Tiwa Savage Music Foundation, a platform aimed at nurturing and training emerging music talents across Nigeria.

The foundation’s launch, held at The Delborough in Lagos, attracted a host of celebrities, industry stakeholders, and government dignitaries, all celebrating Savage’s commitment to developing the country’s creative ecosystem.

The foundation has already selected 100 promising young talents for a specialised four-day training program designed to equip them with practical skills across multiple areas of the music industry.

Participants will gain exposure to music production, sound engineering, music publishing, film scoring, and music therapy, ensuring a well-rounded understanding of the creative business.

In partnership with the prestigious Berklee College of Music, the foundation guarantees professional guidance and global opportunities for these aspiring artists.

Speaking on the red carpet, Tiwa Savage emphasised the importance of infrastructure and education in the Nigerian music industry.

She noted, “We have immense talent in Nigeria, but it’s crucial to provide access, mentorship, and industry-ready skills for young creatives.”

Savage encouraged participants to make the most of this opportunity, describing it as a stepping stone toward sustainable success in the music world.

Notable attendees included Don Jazzy, Mo Abudu, Johnny Drille, Cobhams Asuquo, and government officials such as Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Sen. Florence Ita-Giwa, Daisy Danjuma, and Shade Okoya.

Sanwo-Olu praised Savage’s initiative, describing her as “one of Nigeria’s finest talents” and highlighting the importance of supporting the creative sector for national growth.

Industry leaders like Mo Abudu and Johnny Drille also lauded the foundation, citing its potential to elevate professionalism, creativity, and global competitiveness in Nigerian music.
