National News – The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has inaugurated 32 state executives in Gombe State following the completion of its congress, marking a fresh political phase for the party.
The event took place on Friday, April 17, 2026, across the state’s 114 wards, where delegates elected new leaders to steer the party’s affairs.
The newly formed leadership is headed by Keftin Amuga as State Chairman, with Ahmed Gana serving as Secretary, alongside other key officials representing Gombe North, Central, and South.
Amuga described the development as a turning point, promising transparent leadership, inclusiveness, and accountability.
He emphasised that the ADC aims to rebuild trust in governance while promoting a people-focused political structure.
According to him, the party is prioritising grassroots mobilisation and participation to ensure wider representation.
The chairman also revealed plans for a digital membership drive targeting at least 500,000 members across the 11 local government areas.
He said the initiative would modernise the party’s structure using data-driven strategies and community engagement from Akko to Shongom.
In addition, the ADC reaffirmed its commitment to youth and women inclusion, pledging affirmative policies to expand their roles in leadership.
On security, the party called for decisive measures against banditry and kidnapping, stressing that safety remains a top priority.
Party leaders credited former Minister of Transportation, Abdullahi Idris-Umar, for unifying stakeholders and strengthening the party’s foundation in the state.
The inauguration signals ADC’s renewed push to gain political relevance in Gombe by focusing on transparency, inclusiveness, and grassroots-driven governance.
