National News – D4vd, a US-based singer and TikTok personality, has been arrested by the Los Angeles Police Department over the alleged murder of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez.
Authorities confirmed the arrest on Friday, stating that the 21-year-old suspect is currently being held without bail as investigations continue into the teenager’s death.
Police revealed that the case dates back to September 8, 2025, when the decomposed remains of the missing girl were discovered inside a vehicle linked to the singer in Hollywood, Los Angeles.
Officers were alerted after reports of a foul odour coming from a Tesla that had been towed to a storage yard.
Upon inspection, investigators reportedly found the victim’s head and torso concealed in a cadaver bag in the front compartment of the vehicle.
According to officials, the victim had been missing since April 2024 after leaving her home located about 75 miles from where her remains were eventually found.
While she had reportedly left home on previous occasions, her disappearance gained renewed urgency following the gruesome discovery months later.
Medical examiners noted that the body was severely decomposed, suggesting she may have been dead for several weeks before being found.
However, authorities are yet to determine the official cause of death.
The investigation intensified in December 2025 when a Los Angeles grand jury began reviewing evidence and identified Burke as a key suspect.
A judge had earlier ordered that the case records be sealed in November to allow forensic experts to complete their findings without public interference.
The case is expected to be formally presented to the District Attorney’s office on Monday for possible prosecution.
Further details revealed that the teenager was found wearing a tube top, black leggings, and jewellery, including a chain bracelet and stud earrings.
She also had a distinctive “Shhh…” tattoo on her finger, reportedly similar to one worn by the suspect.
The shocking development has drawn widespread attention online, especially given the singer’s rising fame and previous public silence on the matter.
