National News – Billionaire and Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates is scheduled to testify before a US House of Representatives panel on June 10 regarding his ties to the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and Epstein’s associate, Ghislaine Maxwell.
The testimony comes after the release of Justice Department documents revealing Epstein’s connections with prominent figures, including alleged illicit financial dealings and private photos.
Gates will provide a transcribed interview in a closed-door setting, similar to the previous testimonies of former President Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton.
Gates’ spokesperson confirmed that the tech billionaire “welcomes the opportunity to appear before the Committee” and emphasized that while Gates never engaged in any illegal conduct linked to Epstein, he is prepared to answer all questions fully.
Gates has publicly acknowledged a “huge mistake” in associating with Epstein.
In 2026, he admitted to having extramarital affairs with two Russian women, but denied involvement with Epstein’s victims.
Documents released by the Justice Department included a draft email from Epstein, alleging that he assisted Gates with extramarital affairs.
Gates, 70, admitted at a town hall to two affairs—one with a Russian bridge player and another with a Russian nuclear physicist—but firmly stated, “I did nothing illicit.
I saw nothing illicit.” His relationship with Epstein reportedly began in 2011, three years after Epstein’s prior conviction for soliciting a minor.
Gates also noted that his then-wife, Melinda, expressed concern about Epstein in 2013, yet the association continued for about a year.
The congressional hearing aims to clarify Gates’ interactions with Epstein, including financial and social connections, and to contribute to broader investigations into Epstein’s network.
The case underscores the ongoing scrutiny of influential individuals linked to Epstein’s crimes and the US government’s efforts to ensure accountability.
