Iran Attacks Second Kuwait Power, Water Facility in Two Days

By Our Correspondent

National News – Kuwait has accused Iran of carrying out another strike on one of its electricity and water production facilities, marking the second such attack within two days amid escalating tensions in the Middle East.

In a statement issued on Saturday, Kuwait’s Ministry of Electricity and Water said the latest attack targeted an electricity generation and water distillation plant, triggering a fire in one of the facility’s components.

The ministry said the incident forced the shutdown of several power generation units as emergency teams worked to contain the fire and assess the extent of the damage.

The latest strike comes barely 24 hours after Kuwait reported a similar attack on another power and water installation, raising concerns over the security of critical infrastructure in the Gulf nation.

Authorities did not immediately disclose the location of the affected facility or provide details on casualties. However, officials said efforts were ongoing to restore affected operations and ensure the continuity of electricity and water supply.

The reported attacks come against the backdrop of the ongoing conflict involving Iran, Israel and the United States, which has heightened security concerns across the Middle East and disrupted regional stability.

The conflict has also rattled global energy markets, with fears that continued attacks on critical infrastructure could further impact oil supplies and economic activities across the region.
