National News – Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi is set to release his debut music EP, More To Life, on April 9, 2026, showcasing a unique blend of Afrowave and Afrobeats.

The project features Nigerian chart-topper Fido, acclaimed for producing the country’s biggest song of 2025.

Iwobi, who records under the stage name 17, offered fans an early taste of the EP through the lead single, Track 0 (Freestyle).

The eight-track EP highlights Iwobi’s Nigerian roots and personal journey, with its cover art featuring black-and-white photos of the Fulham midfielder alongside childhood images from 1998, 2004, and 2010, emphasizing the theme of growth.

Collaborators on the project include Fido, Aston Villa midfielder Amadou Onana (24AM), Teniola Time, Giddi, P17, 4AM, and SPKS.

Iwobi, a 98-cap international, has pursued music alongside football for years, but More To Life represents his most ambitious creative venture.

On the football front, Iwobi continues to impress, having surpassed 300 Premier League appearances, solidifying his status as one of Nigeria’s most durable players in English top-flight history.

The EP’s release demonstrates his ability to balance elite athletic performance with a growing music career.

Fans and music enthusiasts can expect an authentic mix of Afrobeats and Afrowave sounds, meaningful lyrics, and collaborations with top Nigerian artists.

The EP aims to inspire listeners by reflecting personal growth, ambition, and the broader experiences of life beyond sports.
