National News – Six people were injured in northern Kuwait after an Iranian attack targeted a residential area on Monday, the Gulf nation’s health ministry reported.
The assault came amid rising tensions in the region following recent US and Israeli strikes.
Kuwait’s army had earlier warned on X that its air defences were intercepting incoming missiles and drones.
“Falling projectiles and debris in a residential area in the north of the country after an Iranian aggression,” the ministry said, adding that injuries varied in severity.
Overnight from Sunday to Monday, Kuwait also responded to similar attacks, highlighting an escalation of hostilities in the Gulf.
Iran has carried out retaliatory strikes on neighbouring states, accusing them of allowing US forces to launch attacks from their territories, which Gulf nations, including Kuwait, have consistently denied.
The ongoing attacks come amid the broader Israel-Lebanon-Iran-US conflict, which has intensified since late February 2026.
Civilians in the northern regions of Kuwait continue to face risks from stray missiles and drone debris, prompting increased security and emergency measures.
Authorities are urging residents to follow safety protocols and stay clear of affected areas while investigations continue.
The Iranian aggression underscores the growing volatility in the Gulf, as countries attempt to protect citizens while navigating complex regional dynamics.
Experts warn that continued escalations could impact trade routes, oil supplies, and regional stability.
Kuwait remains on high alert, coordinating with neighbouring states and international partners to ensure civilian safety.
