National News – The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Owerri Zone has announced a rescheduling of its zonal leadership meeting earlier fixed for Monday, April 20, 2026, shifting the time to 10:00 am at Ewayi Event Centre, New Owerri, Imo State.

The adjustment was communicated in a notice issued on Sunday, April 19, 2026, by the APC Owerri Zonal leadership.

The meeting, convened by the Zonal Executive Committee in line with a directive from Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, will now hold at Ewayi Event Centre, opposite OCDA, off Port Harcourt Road, New Owerri, at exactly 10:00 am on Monday, April 20, 2026.

The notice was jointly signed by the Zonal Chairman, Justus Ogu, and the State Assistant Publicity Secretary, Ambrose Nwaogwugwu, who also serves as Secretary of the planning committee.

The APC emphasized that attendance is mandatory for all invited stakeholders, including ward chairmen, women and youth leaders, secretaries, local government executives, councillors, supervisory councillors, and council chairmen.

Also expected are serving and former state and zonal executives, legislators at both state and national levels, government appointees, and former deputy governors across the zone.

The party stressed punctuality, urging participants to be seated before the 10:00 am commencement time, underscoring the importance of unity, coordination, and effective party administration within the zone.

The rescheduled meeting is expected to strengthen internal party coordination within the Owerri Zone as leaders deliberate on strategic political direction, grassroots mobilization, and organizational reforms ahead of upcoming electoral engagements.
