National News – Carter Efe, Nigerian skitmaker, has ruled out a rematch with Habeeb ‘Portable’ Badmus after defeating him by unanimous decision at the Chaos in the Ring 4 celebrity boxing event held on Friday night at Balmoral Hall, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The bout, which drew large attention from fans, saw Efe dominate proceedings to claim victory in what many described as a highly anticipated clash between two entertainment personalities.
The fight took place in Lagos on Friday, where Carter Efe emerged winner, while Portable later complained of unfair judging and claimed he was robbed, alleging that Efe used height and reach advantage improperly.
However, Efe insisted he is focused on recovery and rest, stating he is not interested in an immediate rematch and would consider it later if necessary.
The event, promoted as Chaos in the Ring 4, also featured several undercard bouts and title fights, including WBO Africa cruiserweight action.
Following his victory, Efe reportedly received a ₦50 million reward from businessman Emeka ‘E-Money’ Okonkwo, who fulfilled a pre-fight pledge.
Portable, reacting on social media, argued that he landed more punches than were counted and demanded recognition of his performance, while also requesting revenue from streaming of the fight.
Despite the controversy, the event was widely discussed across Nigeria’s entertainment and sports spaces.
Interestingly, the same night brought personal news for Portable, as his wife welcomed a baby boy named Jamal Iremide, adding a mixed emotional backdrop to his defeat.
The Lagos event featured multiple winners and showcased celebrity boxing’s growing popularity in Nigeria, blending entertainment with competitive sport.
