National News – Former Lagos State All Progressives Congress spokesman, Seye Oladejo, has officially declared his intention to contest for the Mushin Constituency II seat in the House of Representatives during the 2027 general elections.

Oladejo made the declaration on Saturday in Lagos while addressing APC leaders, party members, youths, artisans and community stakeholders who attended the political gathering in Mushin.

The former Mushin Local Government chairman said his decision to run was driven by his commitment to people-oriented leadership, quality representation and grassroots development.

He recalled his years of public service as a local government chairman, Special Adviser and Commissioner in Lagos State, stressing that his political experience prepared him for effective representation at the National Assembly.

Oladejo stated that Mushin deserved a strong and accessible voice in the House of Representatives.

According to him, leadership should be measured through performance, transparency and impact on the lives of ordinary people.

He added that his ambition was aimed at promoting inclusive governance and sustainable development across the constituency.

During the declaration, the APC chieftain unveiled what he described as “The Pact,” a social contract between himself and residents of Mushin Constituency II.

He promised to sponsor people-focused bills, including legislation on Lagos special status, local government autonomy, youth employment and infrastructure support.

The aspirant also pledged to support education, healthcare, sports and small businesses if elected in 2027.

He promised free JAMB and GCE forms for indigent students, scholarships for outstanding students and vocational training programmes for artisans and youths.

Oladejo further assured residents of free medical outreach programmes, mental health advocacy and empowerment initiatives for young talents in sports and entertainment.

Several APC leaders, including Mushin Local Government Chairman Olatubosun Aruwe and campaign director-general Kayode Sobande, endorsed Oladejo’s ambition and urged party members to support him ahead of the APC primary election.
