National News – Nigeria’s global music stars Davido, Burna Boy, Rema and Ayra Starr have been confirmed on the official FIFA World Cup 2026 soundtrack album.

The announcement highlights Afrobeats’ growing global influence.

FIFA Sound released the full tracklist on June 3, 2026 via X. The album is set for release on June 5, 2026 ahead of the FIFA World Cup.

The tournament will run from June 11 to July 19, 2026 across the United States, Mexico and Canada. It will feature 48 teams competing in 104 matches.

The album brings together global and African artistes. It includes Nigerian stars Davido, Burna Boy, Rema and Ayra Starr, alongside Shakira, Major Lazer and Future.

FIFA said the project is designed to unite fans through music ahead of the tournament.

Rema appears on ‘Goals’, Davido features on ‘No Place Like Home’, Ayra Starr joins Latto on ‘Show Me’, while Burna Boy collaborates with Shakira on ‘Dai Dai’.

The album blends Afrobeats, pop, Latin and hip-hop sounds. FIFA Sound said the collaboration reflects football’s global reach.

It also shows the growing influence of African music on international platforms. The project aims to connect diverse audiences through sport and sound.
