National News – Galatasaray have not made any formal decision on Victor Osimhen’s future despite ongoing transfer speculation linking the Nigerian striker to a possible summer exit from the Turkish Super Lig champions.
The club’s vice-president Abdullah Kavukcu stated that no meetings or offers have been held regarding the Super Eagles forward, stressing that Osimhen remains under contract and is still a key part of Galatasaray’s plans following their league triumph in Istanbul.
Kavukcu explained that even Arsenal’s sporting director Andrea Berta was surprised by the financial scale of the deal that brought Osimhen permanently from Napoli after his €75m release clause was activated.
The striker earns about €15m annually, alongside loyalty and image-right bonuses, pushing the overall commitment to nearly €159m across four years.
On the pitch, the 27-year-old has scored 22 goals and provided eight assists in 32 appearances across domestic and European competitions this season, underlining his importance to the squad.
Kavukcu added that while he personally would not sanction a €150m sale, the final decision rests with the club president, noting that any departure would require finding a suitable replacement.
He also highlighted Osimhen’s commercial impact, estimating around €22m in revenue generated through brand visibility and advertising partnerships worth about €6m annually.
The striker still has three years left on his contract, keeping him firmly at the centre of Galatasaray’s long-term sporting and financial strategy as transfer rumours continue to circulate across Europe.
Club insiders suggest the Turkish champions are prioritising stability after winning the league, with Osimhen seen as central to both sporting success and global brand growth.
The combination of high wages, commercial returns, and on-field output makes any immediate sale complex, especially with European giants monitoring his situation ahead of the summer transfer window.
Transfer speculation is expected to intensify in the coming weeks as clubs across Europe assess attacking options, but Galatasaray maintain that no official negotiations are ongoing and any decision on Osimhen’s future will depend on strategic planning by the club’s top hierarchy.
