Nigerian internationals Alex Iwobi, Calvin Bassey, and Samuel Chukwueze are expected to feature prominently as Fulham take on Tottenham Hotspur in a highly anticipated London derby on Sunday at Craven Cottage.

The Cottagers are aiming to extend their strong run of form in the Premier League.

Iwobi and Bassey both played pivotal roles in Fulham’s 3-1 win over Sunderland, with Iwobi scoring his third league goal of the season and providing an assist.

He opened the scoring with a corner that Raul Jimenez converted and later sealed the victory with a composed chip over the goalkeeper during a counter-attack.

Bassey was involved in the incident that led to Fulham’s second goal, a penalty successfully converted by Jimenez, and Iwobi humorously teased his teammate about it on his YouTube podcast.

Chukwueze, currently on loan from AC Milan, has missed the last match due to injury but has returned to training.

He has already contributed three goals and four assists in 13 Premier League appearances this season, making him a key player for Fulham.

Manager Marco Silva confirmed the final squad selection would depend on the team’s next training session.

Fulham currently sit 10th in the league, just three points behind potential European spots.

Tottenham, on the other hand, are struggling with no wins in nine league games this year and occupy 16th place, raising concerns over their top-flight survival.

Historically, Fulham has performed well against Spurs recently, winning 2-0 at Craven Cottage last season and 2-1 away in November.

A victory on Sunday could mark their first league double over Tottenham since 2003/04, further boosting Nigerian stars’ prominence in English football.
