The decision will be made during its annual Policy Meeting on Admissions, scheduled to hold in Abuja.
This meeting is a key event that shapes admission processes into Nigerian tertiary institutions for the 2026/2027 academic session.
According to JAMB’s spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, the meeting will take place at the Body of Benchers Auditorium in the Federal Capital Territory.
The Minister of Education, Maruf Alausa, is expected to unveil major policy directions.
The gathering will bring together vice-chancellors, rectors, provosts, registrars, and other stakeholders in the education sector.
The purpose of the meeting is to decide the minimum acceptable UTME scores required for admission into universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education.
It will also establish admission guidelines and ensure that institutions strictly follow approved procedures.
Regulatory bodies such as the National Universities Commission, National Commission for Colleges of Education, and National Board for Technical Education will participate.
In addition, agencies like the Nigerian Education Loan Fund and the National Youth Service Corps are expected to deliver goodwill messages.
The event will also feature the sixth edition of the National Tertiary Admissions Performance-Merit Awards, aimed at promoting transparency and rewarding institutions that comply with admission standards.
