National News – Lagos State will host a 100-hour non-stop youth event from April 22 to April 26, 2026, bringing together young Nigerians for networking, creativity, and entertainment.
The event, tagged “The Gathering on 100,” is organised by a youth collective known as The Gathering and is expected to attract participants from across the country.
It reflects a growing trend among Gen Zs and millennials seeking more engaging, experience-driven social platforms beyond traditional profit-focused spaces.
The organisers said the event aims to create a vibrant hub where young people can connect, collaborate, and express themselves.
With youths making up over 60 per cent of Nigeria’s population, the initiative responds to increasing demand for innovative engagement in sectors like technology, finance, fashion, and lifestyle.
The 100-hour continuous format is designed to encourage immersive participation and real-time interaction.
A major highlight of the event is “The Plug,” a dedicated space for entrepreneurs and creatives.
It will feature peer-led advisory sessions, funding opportunities, and a collaborative networking lounge.
According to the organisers, this segment is structured to move beyond conventional networking by fostering meaningful relationships and co-creation among attendees.
In addition to professional opportunities, the event will include a variety of lifestyle and entertainment activities.
These include fashion showcases, content creation hubs, style stations, spa services, tattoo and piercing pop-ups, movie pods, gaming arcades, and five-a-side football matches.
Attendees will also enjoy interactive experiences such as a “Rant Show,” a confession booth, and a silent disco aimed at promoting a relaxed and inclusive atmosphere.
The organisers believe the event will redefine youth engagement in Nigeria by blending business, creativity, and entertainment into one dynamic experience.
