National News – Nollywood actresses Lizzy Anjorin and Iyabo Ojo have reignited their long-running feud after Anjorin accepted a ₦10 million celebrity boxing challenge originally proposed by show promoter Paulo Okoye.
The development, announced on May 3, 2026, has stirred widespread reactions across Nigeria’s entertainment industry and social media space.
Anjorin, who shared her acceptance via Instagram, stated that she is ready to face Ojo in the ring, years after the challenge was first introduced.
However, she added a fresh twist by demanding that Okoye must first fight her husband, Lawal, in a 10-round bout before the main celebrity clash takes place.
This condition has further intensified public interest in the proposed event.
The feud between Anjorin and Ojo, which began several years ago, stems from personal and professional disagreements.
Over time, it has escalated into public confrontations, legal disputes, and social media exchanges.
In 2025, Ojo filed a ₦1 billion defamation lawsuit against Anjorin, although the case was later dismissed on procedural grounds, with indications that further legal action may follow.
The proposed boxing match is part of a growing trend of celebrity fights in Nigeria, where entertainers settle disputes or create spectacle through organized bouts.
Recently, street-pop star Portable lost a high-profile match to comedian Carter Efe, further fueling the popularity of such events.
Observers say the Anjorin-Ojo fight, if it happens, could become one of the most talked-about celebrity boxing matches in Nigeria.
