National News – Nigerian street-hop artiste Portable has alleged foul play after losing a celebrity boxing bout to skit maker Carter Efe in Lagos.
The match, held at Balmoral Hall, ended in a unanimous decision in favour of Carter Efe, with all three judges scoring it 27–30.
Portable, however, claimed the contest was unfair, insisting he landed more punches that were not counted.
Speaking via Instagram shortly after the fight, Portable said he felt “robbed,” accusing his opponent of using height and reach advantage to his detriment.
He argued that even punches landing on the arm or shoulder should have been scored, questioning the judging process and calling out organisers over alleged bias.
The “Zazoo Zeh” crooner also demanded payment of streaming revenue he claimed amounted to about ₦200 million, warning of consequences if not paid.
According to him, the fight was manipulated, alleging excessive grappling by Carter Efe went unchecked by officials throughout the three-round contest.
Despite his frustration, Portable shifted focus to his personal life, revealing that he recently welcomed a baby boy.
He stated that family meant more to him than any championship belt, downplaying the loss while still maintaining that the outcome was unjust.
Before the bout, Portable had expressed confidence in securing a third consecutive celebrity boxing title, referencing previous wins over Charles Okocha and Speed Darlington.
Carter Efe, however, dismissed the claims and promised a knockout performance—ultimately dominating the match with cleaner punches and better ring control.
The victory crowns Carter Efe as the new celebrity boxing champion, ending Portable’s reign and sparking debate among fans over fairness, judging standards, and entertainment boxing credibility in Nigeria.
