National News – The Niger Delta Ex-Agitators Forum has congratulated Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, on his 55th birthday, describing him as a “living legend” whose leadership has brought peace, stability, and economic opportunities to the Niger Delta region.
In a statement issued on Sunday by the Convener of the group, Emma Satu, the forum said Tompolo’s birthday marks a significant moment for the Niger Delta people, noting that his contributions to regional security and youth empowerment remain unparalleled.
“Today is a great day for us, the Niger Delta people, because our leader, High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, also known as Tompolo, is from here and today is his birthday. We, the Niger Delta Ex-agitators Forum, wholeheartedly wish our living legend a happy birthday and a prosperous life,” the statement read.
The group also congratulated Tompolo and Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited for what it described as a “triumphant outing” at the National Assembly, where over 300 federal lawmakers reportedly passed a vote of confidence in the company’s operations.
According to the forum, the endorsement by lawmakers underscores the effectiveness of Tantita Security Services in combating oil theft and protecting critical national assets in the Niger Delta.
“Over 300 federal lawmakers passing a vote of confidence in Tantita Security is overwhelming. It shows that truly Tantita Security is working and it is very visible to everyone,” the group stated.
The forum further noted that beyond tackling crude oil theft, Tompolo has created employment opportunities for thousands of Niger Delta youths through Tantita Security Services, contributing significantly to peace and stability across oil-producing communities.
“He is not only fighting against oil theft, he has given Niger Delta youths a source of livelihood, and the result is the peace and stability in the Niger Delta region,” the statement added.
The Niger Delta Ex-Agitators Forum prayed for long life, prosperity, and wisdom for Tompolo, urging him to continue providing leadership and guidance for sustainable development in the Niger Delta.
“ We wish him long life, prosperity and more wisdom to continue to pilot the affairs of the Niger Delta excellently well,” Satu stated.
Tompolo, a prominent Niger Delta leader, has in recent years gained national recognition for his role in maritime surveillance and pipeline protection, with stakeholders crediting his efforts for improved crude oil production and reduced oil theft in the region.
