National News – Toyin Abraham has dismissed viral claims that she was behind the alleged re-arrest of social media influencer Big Ayo, insisting the report is false and misleading.
The actress made the clarification on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, stating she had no involvement in any arrest and was occupied on a movie set when the rumour surfaced.
The controversy began after a now-deleted post by an X (formerly Twitter) user alleged that Big Ayo had been arrested again at Abraham’s instance.
The claim quickly spread online, reigniting debates tied to their past dispute in 2024.
Reacting promptly, Abraham described the allegation as “fake and false,” urging the public to disregard it.
According to her, “I didn’t get Ayo or anyone arrested; it’s all love from me,” emphasising that she was filming at the time.
Another user, Prince Adeshina, also countered the claim, confirming that the actress was on location and had no connection to any arrest.
He further warned that those spreading the report might be required to provide evidence.
The renewed allegation appears linked to a previous incident in July 2024 when Abraham took legal action against individuals accused of cyberbullying her.
At the time, confusion arose after claims that a woman had been arrested over trolling.
The actress later clarified that it was not the woman but her associate, Big Ayo, who had allegedly engaged in repeated online abuse.
Big Ayo had earlier posted controversial remarks targeting Abraham and her family, triggering backlash and prompting the actress to involve law enforcement.
She defended her decision, citing emotional distress and persistent harassment.
The situation highlights ongoing concerns about misinformation, online trolling, and celebrity accountability in Nigeria’s digital space.
Abraham’s latest response aims to clarify the narrative and curb the spread of unverified claims.
